It's a glorious day in springtime

magnolias sprout all around

I take my fishing rod and fishing line

It's a good day for a ride

I'm whistling, carefree and without hurry

I take the old river road

I walk the bend, there's  no worry

I lie down to rest on the shore

From there I feel the sweet taste of the south

I breath, hundreds of smells fill my soul

the ground is my nest, the world is mine

and the river flows and I feel fine

It's a glorious day in springtime

Es un glorioso dia de primavera

las magnolias brotan alrededor

tomo mi caña de pescar y el sedal

es un buen dia para un paseo

Voy silbando, despreocupado, sin prisas

Tomo el viejo camino del río

Camino por el recodo, sin preocupaciones

y me tumbo a descansar en la orilla

Desde alli siento el dulce sabor del Sur

Respiro, cientos de aromas llenan mi alma

la tierra es mi nido, el mundo es mio

y el Río fluye, me siento bien.

Puedo permanecer todo el dia, toda la noche

solos, el Río, yo y mis pensamientos

No necesito grandes cosas, nada en absoluto

soy feliz solo silbando una canción.
